On Friday, April 28th, the Class of 2023 spent some time celebrating one another in honor of National Decision Day, the day when seniors across the country commit to their college or university. Although Decision Day is officially on May 1, we moved our event up to accommodate Mini-gusto.
The Class wrote notes of gratitude to teachers and staff, acknowledging the support, care and education they were given over their years at GHCDS. They created their “college banner” for placement on the map, announcing their decision, recalling a favorite memory and sharing words of wisdom for our younger students. Students wore “swag” from their intended college.
The event ended with food (of course!) and cupcakes. Students grabbed Class of 2023 keychains, bracelets and stickers as they left the library to commemorate the day.
