2021-2022 School Policy and Communications Plan

At GHCDS, critical thinking is a key component of our mission, and scientific inquiry is a key value. The Covid-19 vaccinations currently approved by the FDA have been demonstrated to be safe and effective for most adults and children over 12, and medical research by credible authorities strongly suggests that vaccinated people have a much greater chance of surviving Covid than the unvaccinated. Therefore, GHCDS strongly urges everyone to get the vaccine.

Covid-19 is a constantly changing and unique barrier to education here at GHCDS and beyond. The GHCDS Covid Task Force and our school’s Board of Trustees was established to support the school administration in the implementation of Covid safe procedures as well as crisis management support.

GHCDS families also play a critical role in supporting our children as they continue to learn safely and effectively during Covid-19. The medically supported school policies that we set forth should be supported by all GHCDS families.
