GHCDS Receives Honors at the Youth Activities Awards Program

Agriculture and Food Fair of the U.S. Virgin Islands – Youth Activities Awards Program
On Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. in the UVI Great Hall, GHCDS students accepted honors at the Youth Activities Awards Program, for their participation in the 50th Annual Agriculture and Food Fair held this past May at the Agriculture and Fair Grounds. Since 1971, this three-day agricultural festival has welcomed attendees from all over the world to the island to taste, touch and experience the VI culture, rooted in agriculture from locally grown fruits, vegetables and livestock, arts and crafts, food and drink, and hands on learning experiences. It is truly an island affair, as students from all educational institutions on the island are invited to participate in interpreting the Agrifest 2022 theme: A Golden Opportunity to Grow, in many different formats and using many different mediums. Congratulations to Jane Coles and Suenita Banwaree, for supporting our students in their participation in this important event. Congratulations to our student representatives and their achievements.
