GHCDS Thanks Physician Assistant Larissa Leffingwell

The 11th – 12th grade advisories had a guest presenter, Physician Assistant Larissa Leffingwell, a native of Michigan who came to St. Croix in 2013 to attend a Physician Assistant master program through Barry University (which had a satellite campus on St. Croix), and never left. She has worked for Frederiksted Health Care in primary care/ family medicine for over 5 years. For the past 1-2 years she has become fascinated in obesity medicine, metabolic disease, and diabetes. She is involved in a nutrition fellowship program through the PA Foundation focusing on healthy living, surgical and post surgical nutrition and diabetes. We appreciated her time and expertise.
