Robyn Brunson Named Director of Admissions & Communications

Good Hope Country Day School is pleased to announce that Robyn Brunson has been named the school’s Director of Admissions and Communications.

Brunson’s background in communications and marketing, combined with her passion for helping families achieve their educational goals for their children, will help further the school’s mission and values.

“l look forward to joining the GHCDS family in the coming months and getting to know the families and community of St. Croix,” said Brunson.

As Director of Admissions and Communications, Brunson will oversee GHCDS’s admissions and enrollment operations, guide prospective families from inquiry to enrollment, and serve as a customer service advocate for current parents and families. She will also direct the school’s external communications and marketing programs.

“When she was on island several weeks ago, Robyn Brunson impressed everyone with her vivacious personality, as well as the breadth of her experiences in education, admissions, public relations, and journalism,” said Head of School William Bugg.

“Robyn is a consummate professional and a respected expert in her field. I look forward to working with her to promote our school as the territory’s first Cambridge International school and as a cornerstone of K-12 education in St. Croix.”

Brunson currently serves as the Associate Director of Admissions at Whitefield Academy in Atlanta. In this role, she helped grow the school’s enrollment by five percent last school year. She also previously served as managing editor of the school’s semi-annual magazine.

Prior to joining Whitefield Academy in 2018, Brunson gained 14 years of experience working in the field of communications as a newspaper reporter in both Georgia and South Carolina, then as a Communications Coordinator for a public K-12 school system in Georgia. She holds a B.A. in Mass Communications with a concentration in Journalism from Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia.

“We are excited to welcome Robyn and her family to St. Croix. I look forward to introducing her to our school community,” Bugg said.

Brunson will join the GHCDS staff in July.
