This Week in Sports

Hi Panther Families!

Let’s take a minute to celebrate all our Panther coaches! As regular seasons are nearing the end, I know they may be tired, but STILL INSPIRED, and we’re so fortunate to have their talent and dedication. If you have a second to give them a parental boost, please do! They’ll keep boosting your athlete(s), too!

Best of luck to our Middle School and Junior Varsity Volleyball teams in the Central tournament this weekend! Go AAALLL Our Lady Panthers!

Below our Panther sports news and details, please find a flyer for Storm Volleyball Tryouts, for girls born between January 2007 and December 2008. This is an outside league, island team. They have fantastic coaches that we love and trust! You will also find another great opportunity for your students to sail on November 11th, Veteran’s Day.

Elementary Girls Soccer-The girls had their first practice with Coach Felicia, and she reports it went well! Please see below for details for next week. We do not have a game schedule yet, but should have one by Monday.

Flag Football-Our football teams had a solid practice on Monday! It was a restful Thursday for both of our teams, with Boo Bash and other Halloween fun.

Volleyball-Our Middle School Girls did it again! Another win under their fried egg spirit socks and knee pads! JV matches were postponed due to a glitch in referee scheduling. We anticipate a rescheduled match on either 11/8 or 11/11. Our Varsity Girls took the win over St. Joseph in three sets, while our Varsity boys took a well fought loss to Complex and Central this week. Thanks for all the extra help with lines this week! It really made a difference! Lastly, we have a lot of home games this week! This means practice time has to be short, sweet and squeezed around matches.

Cross Country-Our Cross Country teams did a great job in Champs! We’re still waiting for official reports, but Coaches Klein and Harper report a lot of personal bests, which is exactly what we hope for every time! Next week we will be able to report in more detail. Territorial Champs are rescheduled for November 9th.

High School Sailing– High School Sailing is preparing for two upcoming events, the ACC’s (Atlantic Coast Championships) and C of C’s (College of Charleston Invitational). These are invites our team has earned the privilege to attend. We’ll share more details next weekend!
