5 new cases detected on campus week of May 31st-June 3rd (2 US, 2 LS, 1 Faculty)

Health Records:

As summer break rapidly approaches, it is time to schedule your child’s annual wellness exam and have their doctor complete the physical exam form. All students, nursery through 12th grade, are required to complete  an annual physical exam for school entry as recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics. The completed physical exam form and a copy of their updated vaccination record is required on or before the first day of school.  I encourage you to schedule your child’s wellness check-up as soon as possible to ensure completion before the start of school! If you have any questions regarding the medical requirements for school attendance please contact the School Nurse at ccooper@ghcds.org

Physical Exam Form

Request for Prescription Medication Administration during the school day

Medical Eligibility Form : If your student will be participating in Sports or After School Activities, your doctor will need to complete a preparticipation physical exam and submit this form.

Around Campus:

YEARBOOK UPDATE: Unfortunately Entourage is facing an unprecedented challenge this year and it appears that the printing facilities are falling behind because of supply chain shortages in paper. Expect our yearbook one week later than our original date. The books should be on the island by June 13th. An email will be sent out to students and parents when it arrives at the GHCDS campus. Thank you for your patience.

CA big thank you to Dr. Castillo for hosting the three chemistry classes and introducing them to the use of titration to determine an unknown.  Students determined the acetic acid concentration in vinegar using sodium hydroxide (NaOH) and a phenolphthalein indicator.
