Stan Joines - Middle and Upper School Instrumental Music Teacher

We are thrilled to introduce Mr. Stanford Joines as our new Middle and Upper School Instrumental Music teacher. Mr. Joines brings a wealth of educational and professional experience to our community. He holds a BA in History with a minor in Music from Mercer University and a Master's in Music Education from Troy State University.
 
With over three decades of experience in music education, Mr. Joines has made a profound impact on the musical landscape of the Virgin Islands. He served as the Band Director at St. Croix Central High School and Arthur H. Woodson Jr. High School, where he also held the role of Department Head for several years. His dedication to music education and his students’ success is evident in his commitment to fostering young musicians' growth.
 
Beyond the classroom, Mr. Joines is a licensed US Sailing Instructor and a US Coast Guard Licensed Boat Captain, reflecting his diverse skills and interests. He has also made significant contributions to his community, serving as President of the Rotary of St. Croix Mid-Isle and Chair of the St. Croix St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee. Additionally, he is an ordained Deacon and Elder in the St. Croix Reformed Church and a published author, with his book on history, "The Eighth Flag," selling over 10,000 copies.
