Investigating the Nature of Science and the Engineering Design Process

During the first week of school, student’s in Ms. Wood’s classes are investigating the Nature of Science and the Engineering Design Process. Through investigation and inquiry students foster creativity and imagination to explain phenomena and determine innovative solutions or explanations.

 

Grade 9 Biology students are determining how the mystery tube works then collaborating to create and design a model of the system.

 

Grade 11 & 12 Marine Science students are challenging their creativity and imagination with the plankton mystery box.

 

Grade 11 & 12 Environmental Management students are pondering the puzzling puzzle.

 

Grade 11 & 12 Introduction to Engineering students are determining the design and science behind the “magic” of the fortune teller fish.
