Dear GHCDS Parents,
Happy first week of school! As we embark on a new academic year, we are excited to share our progress with our lunch program over the summer.
'23-'24 Recap:
Last year, our team successfully served nearly 4,500 lunches, with only 30 incidents reported. This accomplishment is a testament to our staff's dedication, the school's support, and the valuable feedback from teachers and parents like you.
'24-'25 School Year:
With the change in school leadership, it’s more important than ever that we continue to streamline our operations to ensure the success of our program. We are pleased to inform you that the new Head of School, Bill Sinfield, has invited our team to a faculty meeting on September 3rd. We will collaborate with the faculty during this meeting to create a more efficient game plan for lunch delivery and operations. Please rest assured that the lunch program will continue, and we are scheduled to begin serving lunches in mid-September.
We will provide you with more detailed information after the September 3rd meeting.
Lunch App News:
Nearly a year ago, Khalid Saleem and the Boomerang Eats team began developing a new school lunch ordering app to make ordering and managing your child’s lunches more convenient and efficient. After months of dedicated work, we’re pleased to announce that the app was finalized over the summer and will soon be available for you to use. This app represents a significant step forward in enhancing our service and ensuring that your experience with our program is seamless.
