Good Hope Country Day School - Third Grade Update
We’re off to a fantastic start in third grade, and I’m so excited about the year ahead! This week, students created Birthday Buddy Timelines to explore the circle of life in science. In math, we reviewed key second-grade skills like double-digit addition and analog time-telling, setting a strong foundation for the year.
In reading and journal writing, students reflected on their summer reading series and explored ways to develop a growth mindset both in learning and in life. Some of the stories we enjoyed together were I Promise by LeBron James and The Day You Begin by Jacqueline Woodson, sparking meaningful discussions in class.
