GHCDS Hosts Upper School Parent Night: A Journey Through the School Day
GHCDS recently welcomed parents to Upper School Parent Night, an evening designed for information-sharing and connection. Parents had the unique opportunity to "walk in their students' shoes" by experiencing an abbreviated version of their child’s daily schedule. The evening began in student advisories before parents transitioned from class to class with the ringing of the school bell. Along the way, they met each of their child’s teachers, putting faces to names and gaining insight into the subjects being taught. Parents were able to ask questions and better understand their child's academic journey for the year. It was a creative and engaging way for parents to experience a day in their child’s school life.
