In Celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, our Preschool and Kindergarten students embarked on a cultural journey to Puerto Rico—right from their classroom!
Led by Mrs. Vanessa Velez-Wyche, our Panther Cubs learned about the rich history and origins of the vibrant dance known as BOMBA. They discovered the names of traditional Bomba dance steps, like seque and paseo, while moving to the infectious rhythms of African drumbeats.
Our young dancers also had the opportunity to join in the music by playing maracas and sand blocks, adding their own beats to the lively Bomba rhythms. It was a joyful and enriching experience that truly broadened their horizons!
