Each Lower School class participates in monthly GAINS lessons to develop essential executive functioning skills. In October, Ms. Bird’s GAINS lesson focused on impulse control through a fun and engaging bubble-popping activity!

Students practiced managing their impulses by following specific cues, only popping bubbles when Ms. Bird said “Bubble Pop” and stopping when she said “Stop”—similar to the game Simon Says. This playful exercise helped students become more aware of their impulses in a hands-on way.
