Celebrating Hispanic Heritage with Energy and Joy!

This week, our 7th to 12th-grade students filled the stage with excitement and cultural pride during a vibrant Hispanic Heritage Month assembly. Spanish and art students showcased their talents through engaging skits, songs, dances, and presentations.

Highlights included an informative presentation on the history of the piñata and Peruvian-inspired textile creations by the art class. The AS Spanish Language class delighted the audience with a humorous skit of the famous "running of the bulls," while musical performances of Vivir Mi Vida, La Macarena, and La Bamba added to the lively atmosphere. A thoughtful recitation of José Martí’s poem Cultivo una Rosa Blanca brought a reflective touch to the celebration. The assembly ended on a high note with a spirited dance to La Gozadera.

Thank you to Ms. Hutchins, Ms. Nicholas, Ms. Banweree, and Ms. Capriola for their hard work in organizing this fantastic celebration of Latin culture!
