The 2nd graders at Good Hope Country Day School recently celebrated the culmination of their first writing unit with a fantastic Publishing Party! Over the course of the unit, students learned how to transform small moments into vivid stories, enriching their writing with important details, using transition words to guide their readers, bringing characters to life, and crafting powerful endings.
The Publishing Party featured a delightful array of stories, from heartwarming reunions with grandparents, to memorable sushi dinners with dads, and even a thrilling adventure to a zoo in Peru! It was a fun-filled event that not only showcased their growth as writers but also helped us learn more about each other’s unique experiences and imaginations.
