On Saturday, November 9th, the St. Croix Road Racing Committee hosted the VI 10K Championship at the Christiansted National Historic Site in honor of Veterans' Day. Twenty-four runners competed on the newly-designed two-lap course. GHCDS runner Kennedy James, 15, was the only participant in the U18 category and finished her first 10K in 54:30. Coaches, parents, teachers, and alumni, including Coach Klein, race director Theresa Harper, Megan Lambert, Esther Ellis, Paul Evora, Maranda Wood, Olga Capriola, Natalia Kuipers, and Brin Goldman-Ray, also participated. The next race will be on Thanksgiving Day at 11am, aligning with the iconic Manchester Road Race, which starts at 10am EST, in front of the former Coconuts (now called Loops).
