On Wednesday, January 15th, high school students at Good Hope Country Day School had the unique opportunity to attend an informational session with TSgt. Shevanna Jones and her recruiting assistant, Airman Dowling, from the Air National Guard.
The session highlighted the many benefits of joining the Guard, including:
- Educational opportunities and tuition assistance.
- Career development and valuable training.
- Military benefits, such as health insurance and access to Commissary and PX privileges.
- The potential for travel and the chance to gain unique experiences.
Students also explored how a career with any branch of the National Guard could enhance their post-secondary plans, offering a pathway to success through service and skill-building.
The engaging discussion sparked thoughtful questions from the students, and as a fun reward, participants were gifted a pair of Air Force-branded sunglasses—a small token of appreciation for their curiosity and engagement.
We’re grateful to TSgt. Jones and Airman Dowling for sharing their time and insights with our students and opening the door to exciting future opportunities!
