On January 17th, Mrs. Noe's 4th grade class led the Lower School Friday Gathering with a heartfelt and inspiring tribute to the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Their presentation was a powerful reminder of Dr. King's vision of equality, justice, and peace, as well as the enduring relevance of his message today.
Nooreen Yusuf and Saja Abdelghani opened the program with a thoughtful narration about Dr. King's life, his achievements, and his impact on the world. Following this, the students shared an entertaining yet deeply meaningful video by Kid President (a must-watch if you’re not already familiar!) that creatively highlighted Dr. King’s legacy in a way that resonated with all ages.
Each student then took to the stage to recite one of Dr. King's most famous quotes, bringing his words to life with confidence and conviction. The entire presentation was student-created and led, with Riley Iubelt serving as the Director and ensuring every element came together beautifully.
Well done, 4th grade! Thank you for reminding us of Dr. King’s timeless message and for sharing your creativity and leadership with the Lower School community. Your tribute was a shining example of what it means to honor his legacy.
