GHCDS Agriculture Fair Booth: Aloe Vera and "Soil to Soul" Garden!

Middle school students Naisha Jarvis, Aliya Delande, and Dylan Greenidge have been hard at work planting Aloe vera in individual pots for our Agriculture and Food Fair booth this February. This year, GHCDS is creating an artistic and educational display that highlights the incredible Aloe plant and its many uses, while showcasing the connection between our Soil and Souls.

Our booth will feature a beautifully designed garden oasis, complete with:

  • Vibrant plants that symbolize cultural and ecological connections.
  • A focus on pollinators and their vital role in the environment.
  • Picture lights to highlight our displays.
  • A serene fountain as the centerpiece.
  • Stepping stones on an AstroTurf carpet to guide visitors through the space.

After the fair, these Aloe plants will find a permanent home, adding greenery and purpose around our campus.

How You Can Help:

One of our feature plants, Aloe vera, holds deep cultural significance and practical uses. If you have Aloe plants to spare, we’d love for you to contribute! Bring them in, and we’ll pot them up and include them in this stunning display.

We’re calling on the entire GHCDS community—students, families, and faculty across all grade levels—to join us in creating this unforgettable experience by volunteering and making sure that our beautiful booth has a welcoming human, manning it all weekend.
