To mark the culmination of their Food Unit, 8th grade students embarked on a culinary and cultural adventure, researching, designing informative posters, and preparing an incredible feast featuring dishes from a variety of Spanish-speaking countries.
Their hard work and creativity came to life in a delicious spread that included:
Main Dishes: Carne asada tacos, ceviche, arepas, empanadas, quesadillas, mofongo, arroz con pollo panameño, arroz con gandules, matambre argentino, and tortilla española.
Desserts: Churros, tres leches cake, rosquillas, and alfajores.
Drinks: Authentic hot chocolate, horchata, coquito, and café con miel.
Through this experience, students not only expanded their knowledge of Hispanic cultures but also bonded over the universal language of food. ¡Buen provecho!
