On Tuesday, April 1, the Lower Division celebrated with our Muslim students and families the tradition of Eid, symbolically breaking the fast of Ramadan, which was welcomed on March 29th-30th this year, worldwide. In a beautiful display of generosity, Iyad and Sofah Abdallah (Wajeeh, 7th, Lamees, 5th and Wadee, 1st), owners of Island Vybez restaurant, provided an amazing spread of delicious food for the entire elementary school. Teachers and parents joined together to serve a grateful and respectful crowd of children, who delighted in feasting together in the grass, on benches and around their classrooms. In the spirit of community and caring which signifies Eid, the lower school was proud to join in what we hope will be an annual celebration.
