The search for the next permanent GHCDS Head of School is moving forward. Through a vetting process the firm of Carney Sandoe Associates (CSA) has been contracted, and along with the technical assistance and advice of People Solutions led by Ms. Kelly Simon, we believe the right individual will be found.
The Search Committee is represented by Trustees Brad Ebersole, Michelle Dizon, Sammuel Sanes, John Harper, Sezelle Gabriel, and LynAnn Daisley; faculty and staff Megan Lambert, Jayar Greenidge, Olga Capriola, Linda Stamper-Keularts, and Nancy Thatcher; and Parents’ Association Vice Chairperson Sarah Vaughn.
Board Chair Brad Ebersole and Interim Head of School Bill Sinfield are serving as Search Co-Chairs.
Representatives of Carney Sandoe will be on campus Tuesday and Wednesday, April 15 and 16 to meet with faculty and staff, the Parents’ Association leadership, and the Search Committee to gain information about GHCDS and the desirable characteristics of the next Head of School. An open Zoom session for all GHCDS parents to share their thoughts is being planned for the week of April 21. More details and information will be forthcoming. From this visit and information a position profile will be developed for extensive recruiting.
The general timeline for the search is as follows:
April – Carney Sandoe Associates (CSA) visits GHCDS
May – GHCDS Head of School profile is developed
May – August – CSA is recruiting nationally, internationally, and locally
September – Search Committee meets to identify semi-finalists for confidential interviews (8 to 10 Candidates)
October – Search Committee interviews semi-finalists in confidential interviews – Three or four finalists are identified.
Late October – Identified finalists are invited to GHCDS for meeting school constituents (parents, faculty, staff, students), along with in-person interviews with the Search Committee and the Board of Trustees. In put will be collected from everyone involved.
November – The Board of Trustees reviews input from all constituents and the Search Committee, and deliberates and votes to determine which individual is the most qualified candidate.
November – An offer is made to the successful candidate
December – June, 2026 – Transition process is conducted for the incoming HOS
July 1, 2026 – Newly appointed HOS begins leading GHCDS into the future.
Every effort is being made to conduct a transparent and successful search. Questions may be directed to Dr. Bradley Ebersole (Chair, Board of Trustees) at [email protected]
With great optimism,
Brad Ebersole & Bill Sinfield (Search Co-Chairs)
